My artistic practice develops mainly along the concept of space into the context of the digital era. I understand that when into that context, space is not only a physical place but a set of situations that develop in a site within the space-time continuum that does not have to be related directly to the physical.
I am interested in the relation between artistic practice, technology, physics and mathemathics that involves the fact of dealing with machines that respond to logical principles, and the relevance of digital media in contemporary society.
Based on situations regarding a space or a physical issues I transfer their carachteristics to a digital medium to change their dimension in order to erect self-sufficient places inside the universe of itself that I create for each situation, with the aim of rethinking the notion of space inside certain contexts. The result of my projects tends to be software, small publications, sound pieces, or a cluster of them all.
Mi práctica artística se desenvuelve principalmente en torno al concepto de espacio dentro del contexto de la era digital. Entiendo que dentro de dicho contexto, espacio no es solo un lugar físico sino un conjunto de situaciones que se desenvuelven en un sitio dentro del continuo espacio-temporal que no tiene por qué tener relación directa con lo físico.
Me interesa la relación entre prácticas artísticas, tecnología, física y matemáticas que conlleva el hecho de tratar con máquinas que responden a principios lógicos, así como la importancia de los medios digitales en la sociedad contemporánea.
A partir de situaciones relativas a un espacio o a unas problemáticas físicas, traslado sus características a un medio digital y les cambio la dimensión para erigir lugares autosuficientes dentro del propio universo que creo para cada situación, con la intención de repensar la noción de espacio dentro de contextos determinados. El resultado de mis proyectos suelen ser programas informáticos, pequeñas publicaciones, piezas sonoras, o un cúmulo de todas ellas.
